From the Flight Line to the Finish Line

My name is Matthew, and Broke Not Broken started exactly how most of your projects did: with a car that needed work and a budget that required creativity. By day, I serve in the United States Air Force, where precision and discipline are the standard. By night and on weekends, I’m in the garage—usually elbows-deep in an '88 Pontiac Fiero engine swap.

The "Capable" Philosophy

I started the Broke Not Broken YouTube channel to document the reality of the driveway mechanic. To me, being "Broke" is just a part of the process, but being "Broken" means you've stopped trying to learn. I believe in staying capable, whether that's troubleshooting a wiring harness or leveling up in a game.

Life Outside the Garage

When I’m not turning wrenches or serving, I’m a dedicated gamer and a family man. Life at home is a full house with my wife, Jessica, our three children, and a small zoo that includes two dogs, two cats, and even a snake. Between family time, gaming, and 3D printing custom parts on my Kobra S1, there’s never a dull moment.
